Addressed C. in C. China from British Embassay, Shanghai.

Following from Foochow. Begins - Addressed

mbassy Tel.72 2nd May British Ship LALITA appears to

have been seized by Japanese off Sharp Peak near

MATLUMO Island April 27th. It was then seen being

escorted by Japanese ship and has not arrived (?Sha)

Cheng where it was due „pril 28th. It is chartered by

Chinese Government company principally for tea transport.
